11/11/11…… it has such a nice ring to it, isn’t it? Well, if last year 10/10/10 marked the opening of Carrcadin Business & Entertainment Hotel in Bandung, this year the 11/11/11 will mark the opening of yet KAGUM Group’s another foray into the world of Hospitality industry—particularly in Bandung: Verona Palace Hotel Bandung, the Centrum, and Lily & Rose.

One might possibly wonder, what is the advantage of putting up so much presence online? Does a strong online presence can bring enough benefits worth to put manpower/resources investments in?
That is absolutely and positively a yes. A score in TripAdvisor, for example, can and will influence how your guests and potential guests view a Hotel property. You see, people need confirmation. People need justifications. A person in search of a decision—in this case, “Where should I stay next?”—is often easily influenced by the opinions of other people; particularly if the opinions are from influential people or they are the majority. If a potential guest sees that you have an overall good or even excellent score in TripAdvisor, whether you are realizing it or not you are that much closer to score real revenue from a real guest coming to your Hotel.

Twitter, Facebook, and even Blogging tools offers marketers a very particular advantage that other conventional marketing means just cannot compare: the easiness of sending your message to a great number of people instantaneously in a more personal level…… for free! Utilized effectively, not even the most well-placed advertisement in a sought-after famous newspaper/magazine/tv spots can compete with that kind of power and efficiency.
Of course, as are other things, if it is not handled properly Internet presence can carry a disadvantage to the entity it represents… but really, the advantages on the plate are much more yummy and delicious than the potential disadvantages, and one most definite rule to be successful in a business is to gain large advantages in exchange to the smallest level of disadvantages possible… so if you are looking for more bang to your success, Internet online presence is definitely the place to look into.
